Ventspils University College graduation ceremony already this Saturday

Saturday, June 17 at the theatre house “Jūras vārti” Ventspils University College graduation ceremony will be held where 157 graduates will be receiving their degrees – 122 of them a bachelor’s degree and 35 – master’s degree. This year’s graduation is speacial as there will also be first graduates receiving their degree in the double-degree master’s programme “International Business and Export Management”.

Graduation’s ceremony will be divided in two parts – where at 12:00 p.m. the degrees will be awarded to the students of the Faculty of Economics and Management (including Business Administration students) and the double degree master’s programme “International Business and Export Management”. The graduates of the double-degree programme will be greeted by rector of the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems Prof.(FH) Mag. Eva Werner, hon.prof.

At 3:00 p.m. the degrees will be awarded to the students of the Faculty of Translation Studies (including Languages and Intercultural Communication students) and the Faculty of Information technologies. Lasīt vairāk

One of them is Majoros Mónika, a 1st year ”Languages and Intercultural Communication” student from Hungary and she together with two other full-time students studying in one of our international programs, decided to share their stories and experiences.

Welcoming a lecturer from the Bursa Technical University (BTU) in Turkey – Murat Bayrak

From May 15 till May 19, 2017 within the framework of the Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching Ventspils University College (VUC) welcomed a lecturer and the Director of BTU School of Foreign Languages from the Bursa Technical University (BTU) in Turkey – Murat Bayrak.

During his stay in Ventspils, he gave lectures to VUC students where they were introduced to BTU and the School of Foreign Languages, as well as the education, history, tourism and economy of Turkey and some key facts about the town of Bursa.

Before his departure on May 19 VUC International Office invited Mr. Bayrak to stop by the office for a brief interview where he told us about his time in Ventspils, Latvia. Lasīt vairāk

Discovering Erasmus+ in Hungary

During this year’s spring semester more than 30 students from Ventspils University College (VUC) left for their Erasmus+ study experience to VUC partner universities. We have already told you about Evita and Linda’s Erasmus experience in Greece, Alyona’s adventures in Germany, but now it is time to travel to the University of Pécs in Hungary. Our new story is told by Paula and Daiga. They are 3rd year Ventspils University College Business Administration students.

Discovering Erasmus+ in Germany

During this year’s spring semester more than 30 students from Ventspils University College (VUC) left for their Erasmus+ study experience to VUC partner universities. We have already told you about Evita and Linda’s Erasmus experience in Greece, but now it is time for Alyona’s story. Alyona is second year “Business Administration” student and her Erasmus+ experience take place at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Germany.
